At Summit Christian Learning Center we want a better future for our students. Summit Christian Learning Center Afterschool program is proud to provide “Core” character education curriculum. If we list every quality, trait, and skill that students need to ensure for themselves a better future, we’d have a really long list! But over time, if we looked carefully at that list, grouped these qualities, chances are you would come up with something close to this list of three basic goals. One would involve qualities needed to build and maintain relationships, one would likely involve decision making or problem solving qualities, and one would involve skill development, perseverance and goal setting qualities.
Our kindergarten through 5th grade curriculum, is based on a monthly value word and definition and involves everyone in the program in a small way. Core equips students, staff, and families alike to SAY IT, KNOW IT, SEE IT and BE IT each month.
Over the school year, we have worked diligently at Saying, Knowing and Being these values.

Every month, we have access to web-based resources (including videos, lesson plans, announcements, book lists, and much more!) that can be shared throughout the school and at home to families so that everyone is on the same page.
